HART PROVIDES FREE PARK-AND-RIDE SHUTTLE

DURING GARPARILLA FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS MARCH 4 & 5

January 31, 2000 - TAMPA, FLORIDA - Round, and round, and round we go! No, it’s not directions for how to play “Ring Around the Rosie”, draw a circle, or stir a cup of caf� con leche. Yes, it is the direction of travel on the Uptown � Downtown Connector park-and-ride trolley service to be provided by the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) during the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts event, March 4-5, 2000.

The community is invited to simply “hop on and hop off” the yellow trolleys circulating through downtown Tampa from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. This special event service is free and will operate for the convenience of people venturing downtown to take in the sites of the Festival of the Arts. White “Free Shuttle to Fest” shuttle stop signs will be conveniently located along the designated route to serve public parking lots and street-side parking located in downtown Tampa.

The park-and-ride shuttle will circulate frequently, with stops located:

On Morgan Street at Washington Street, serving Fort Brooke Parking Garage, Whiting Parking Garage and the Morgan Street parking lot;

On Jackson Street at Pierce Street, serving Marion Street and Washington Street parking lots, as well as the Morgan Street parking lot;

On Jefferson Street at Kennedy Boulevard, serving parking lots at 702 and 707 E. Jackson Street;

On Twiggs Street at Pierce Street, serving Morgan Street parking lot

On Morgan Street at Cass Street and again at Tyler Street, serving lots at Cass Street and Tyler Street;

On Tyler Street at Florida Avenue, serving on-street parking;

On Tampa Street at Cass Street, serving the Festival of the Arts site;

On Tampa Street between Zack Street and Twiggs Street, serving the Festival of Arts site;

On Tampa Street between Kennedy Blvd. and Jackson Street, serving the Festival of the Arts site.

On Tampa Street between Washington St. and Whiting St., serving the Festival of the Arts site.
