HART TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED CHANGES TO
ROUTE 28X – SEFFNER/DOVER EXPRESS

March 12, 2007 - Tampa, Florida – The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) will hold public hearings to discuss proposed service changes on Route 28X - Seffner/Dover Express. The public hearings will be held:

Friday, March 16, 2007
Marion Transit Center
1212 N. Marion Street
Downtown Tampa
4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Monday, March 19, 2007
Mt. Zion Assembly of God Church
3005 Thonotosassa Road
Plant City
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

HART is seeking input on proposed changes to Route 28X that would accommodate:
• Passenger requests for more direct routing to reduce travel time into downtown Tampa
• A new Park and Ride at Mt. Zion Assembly of God Church (at 3005 Thonotosassa Rd., slightly north of I-4) that would provide more convenient access to residents in the eastern portion of the county
• Road closures for improvements to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. between CR 579 and Parsons Ave. in 2008
• Parking at the Advance Auto Parts store near the express stop at Forbes Rd. and Hwy 92 is unauthorized; new Park and Ride will give those customers a parking option
• Service on Forbes Rd., M.L. King Jr. Blvd and CR 579 would be discontinued

Public participation at these hearings is encouraged. Written comments are welcome and will be entered into the record.
