The meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority provides transit services in Hillsborough County, including the City of Tampa, the City of Temple Terrace, and portions of unincorporated Hillsborough County. The Mobility Project is about making transportation safer, quicker and more affordable. Under the leadership of HART and the Hillsborough County Metropolitan Planning Organization, along with a consortium of federal, state and local partners, a variety of transportation options are being explored, including busway, roadway, rail transit, bicycle, pedestrian and transportation demand management improvements. Public participation is encouraged through a series of meetings and workshops so, together with the community, choices will be made to improve access and mobility, support and connect healthy communities and enhance quality of life for our neighborhoods. As part of its Mobility Project, HART holds regularly scheduled meetings of the Technical Subcommittee. Members of this committee work together to provide information and discuss impacts related to economic, environmental, traffic and transportation management, and social issues. Additionally, this committee makes recommendations to the Mobility Resource Committee, a group that serves as policy advisors who make recommendations to the HART Board of Directors. Members of the public are invited to attend this meeting. Meeting topics will include: an overview and status report of the Mobility Project, results of the recent bus planning workshops and station area design efforts, a presentation on public outreach techniques, and discussion on the study-process role of each subcommittee. -HART- |
