PUBLIC HEARING

TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT UPDATE PLAN

The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) will hold a public hearing to invite public input on its Transit Development Plan Update for 2002-2007. The public hearing will be held:

Monday, April 2, 2001
8:30 a.m.
County Center, 18th floor
Planning Commission Boardroom
601 E. Kennedy Blvd., downtown Tampa

The Transit Development Plan Update for 2002-2007 provides an implementation schedule for transit projects and shows their proposed funding sources. HART intends to proceed with a referendum on a sales tax for transportation that would be placed on the ballot in 2002. The regularly scheduled meeting of the HART Board of Directors will immediately follow the public hearing.

Public participation at this hearing is encouraged. Written comments are welcome and will be entered into the record. Written comments should be received by 5:00 p.m. April 6; comments may be sent to: HART, Attn: Director of Planning, 201 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Suite 1600, Tampa, Florida 33602.

HART will provide copies of the Transit Development Update Plan in accessible formats, (large type, Braille or audiotape) with one week advance request. The Public hearing is wheelchair accessible. Please contact HART if you require accessible formats or other special accommodations.

Pursuant to Florida Statutes, if any person decides to appeal any decision made by board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, that person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence on which the appeal is to be based.
