PROJECT MAY 14, 1999 – TAMPA, FLORIDA – The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) will hold a Mobility Resources Committee meeting on May 19, 1999 at the YMCA located at 110 East Oak Avenue. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority provides transit services in Hillsborough County, including the City of Tampa, the City of Temple Terrace, and portions of unincorporated Hillsborough County. The Mobility Project is about making transportation safer, quicker and more affordable. Under the leadership of HART and the Hillsborough County Metropolitan Planning Organization, along with a consortium of federal, state and local partners, a variety of transportation options are being explored, including busway, roadway, rail transit, bicycle, pedestrian and transportation demand management improvements. Public participation is encouraged through a series of meetings and workshops so, together with the community, choices will be made to improve access and mobility, support and connect healthy communities and enhance quality of life for our neighborhoods. As part of its Mobility Project, HART holds regularly scheduled meetings of the Mobility Resources Committee. The public is invited to attend these meetings. Members of this committee serve as policy advisors who make recommendations to the HART Board of Directors. -HART- |
