September 21, 2000 - Tampa, FL - The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) will host Bike the Bay 2000 on Saturday, October 7 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in conjunction with the regional Alternative Transportation Week festivities. All members of the community are invited to participate in this free non-competitive bike ride. Mark your calendars with the following details:

Event Date: Saturday, October 7, 2000
Start Time: 9:00 a.m.
Location: Downtown Tampa Commuter Center 409 E. Kennedy Boulevard At the corner of Kennedy Blvd. and Marion Street
Fee: This is a FREE event.

Registration: Registration forms are available at all HART facilities and Customer Service Centers, many area bike shops and recreation centers, by mail and via the HART web site located at www.gohart.org. Day of race registration is available at the Downtown Commuter Center beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Ride Specifics: This is a non-compete ride for people of all ages and abilities. Choose from a 10-mile route and a 20-mile route; both travel through downtown Tampa and along Bayshore Boulevard. Water and refreshments will be available.
