HART TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON SERVICE MODIFICATION TO ROUTE 96
UPTOWN - DOWNTOWN CONNECTOR

October 21, 1999 - TAMPA, FLORIDA - The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) will hold a public hearing to take comments on proposed changes to the Route 96. The hearing will beheld Monday, November 1, 1999 at 8:30 a.m. in the County Center Planning Commission Board Room at 601 E. Kennedy Boulevard, 18th Floor, in downtown Tampa. The regular monthly HART Board of Directors meeting will be held immediately following the public hearing.

The Uptown - Downtown Connector, Route 96, provides service through the downtown Tampa central business district via yellow rubber tire-trolleys. The modification would shift a segment of the route from Marion Street Transit Parkway to Florida Ave. northbound and Tampa St. southbound. The routing to Harbour Island, the Southern Regional Garage and the HART Northern Terminal, located at Marion St. and Scott St., would not change.
